Wu Guanjun holds a PhD in Philosophy from Monash University, Australia. He is Dean, Second-Level Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Politics and International Relations at East China Normal University, as well as a Distinguished Professor of the "Changjiang Scholar" Program of the Ministry of Education, Leading Talent in Shanghai, Dean of the Singularity Institute of East China Normal University, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Governance Innovation Team of East China Normal University, Chief Expert of the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund "Research on the Development Path and New Progress of Postmodern Philosophy", engaged in interdisciplinary academic research with technology-art-physics-politics-education as the axis.
Recently, he has focused on the study of political ecology and achieved a series of results. For example, "Two Critical Moments in Contemporary Chinese Technopolitics" (Political Science Research, Issue 6, 2021) analyzed China's unique civilizational character in its ecological politics facing Gaia, and "Anthropocene, Capitalocene and Technocene: A Political Economy-Political Ecology Investigation" (Shandong Social Sciences, December 2022) discussed whether humans can cooperate in a global sense as bearers of the same civilization in the context of of ecological upheaval.
He has published more than 100 papers in CSSCI journals such as Philosophical Research, Political Science Research, and Literary Research. His recent works include See You Again, Sapiens: Techno-Politics and the Posthuman Condition (Peking University Press, 2024), From Metaverses to Quantum Realities: Towards a Posthumanist Political Ontology (CITIC Publishing Group, 2023), and Falling into the Singularity: Political Philosophy in the Anthropocene (Commercial Press, first edition in 2021, second edition in 2023). His translated works include "The Sacred Man: Supreme Power and Naked Life" among others.

近年来，他聚焦政治生态学研究并取得系列成果。例如，其发表于《政治学研究》2021 年第 6 期的《当代中国技术政治的两个关键瞬间》一文，剖析了中国在面对 “盖亚”（Gaia，指地球生态系统整体）的生态政治中所展现的独特文明品格；而发表于《山东社会科学》2022 年 12 期的《人类世、资本世与技术世：一项政治经济学 - 政治生态学考察》，则探讨了在生态剧变背景下，人类作为同一文明载体能否实现全球性合作这一议题。
他在《哲学研究》《政治学研究》《文艺研究》等 CSSCI 来源期刊发表论文 100 余篇。近期著作包括《再见，智人：技术-政治与后人类状况》（北京大学出版社，2024 年）、《从元宇宙到量子现实：迈向后人类主义政治本体论》（中信出版集团，2023 年），以及《陷入奇点：人类世政治哲学研究》（商务印书馆，2021 年第一版，2023 年第二版）。此外，他还翻译了《神圣人：至高权力与赤裸生命》等著作。
